Maujibandhan of 14 BATUS was performed on April 22nd 2007. It was a grand function at residence of Shri Vasudeorao Prabhu at Abhinav Nagar, Borivli East. Some of the Batus have come from far off places like Dombivli, Neral etc. Religious rites were conducted under the guidance of Shri Shripad Prabhukochrekar. Around 230 people enjoyed the breakfast and lunch served by Mr Natekar.

Vadhu-Var get together

Vadhu-Var get together was arranged on Feb 17th 2008. We had stupendous response from Dnyatibandhav. Totally 67 Brides/Grooms to be registered themselves but many earlier registered members, well wishers, Counsellors, overfilled the huge hall of Prabodhankar Thackray Natyagriha, Borivli. Totally around 500
people attended the Melava. As usual Mr S A Walawalkar sir, an astrologer was available for checking the horoscopes instantly. In the last financial year totally 167 new Brides/Grooms to be were registered. Mr Suhas Desai and Mrs Unmana Patkar read out the list and information. Mr Suhas Bagalkar, Mr Charudatta Mahajan and Mr Ulhas Patkar circulated the lists.

New Members and New Ashraydate

In the last financial year, 67 new members were registered. The Sangh also got eight new Ashraydate.

Yearly Sneh Sammelan

Yearly Sneh Sammelan was on Feb 17th 2008 as well. Venue was same Prabodhankar Thackray hall. It was in the evening between 4 pm to 8 pm. All visitors were greeted with flowers, rosewater and ladies with haldikumkum as well. Programme started with Deep-Prajvalan and by garlanding photo of Shrimad Purnananda. Mrs Sushila Samant sang the ISHASTAVAN and got a very huge applause. Despite har age of 78, she was energetic enough to sing anothe wonderful poem Konkanrailway. Kumar Anup Gavankar also gave some melodious songs. That followed a wonderful magic show by Shri Yashvant Samant Sir. It made everybody laugh ,all and sundry, children as well as seniors. Children in fact wanted it once more.We must sincerely thank him for the priceless pleasure he offered absolutely free of cost. Mr Vasant Gajanan Samant, a well known animation expert Presided over the function. He was formally introduced by Mr Parag Desai.Mr Rajaram(bhau) M Ajgaonkar was the chief guest.He was formally introduced by Mr Suryakant Mainkar. Mr Vasudevrao Prabhu and Mr Bhalchandra Naik were to Seniors who were felicitated on the same day. Both of them gave some word of advice to the young generation. Mr Bhalchandra Naik declared a donation of Rs 5000/-to Snehvardhak Sangh. Student achievers were given the awards as per the list.List was read by shri Anand Samant. It wasa great coincidence that Prof Vidya Ramkrishna Prabhu and her daughter Miss Netra Prabhu were both among the awardees. One of our workers, Mrs Harshada Wagh received Adarsh Teacher award and was also felicitated on this occasion. Mr samant while presiding over the function gave some valuable advice.It is easy to walk down a treaded path but to creat a path is no small deal, he said. Animation is a key word today and one can attain both pleasure as well money in this field, he said.
Chief guest Shri Ajgaonkar said that students should use the proper angle in life and that one should develop his or her own constructive strengths. Mr Suhas Desai Thanked all and the Sneh Sammelan was over after the National Anthem.
